This is – from this writer’s perspective anyway – the gooey filling. If you consume too much of it you’ll surely feel ill. But while the pastry is drier, and feels somehow less decadent without the filling, you really do need it there to set off the crème.
Sure, for “Random Musings”, I could have gone with a picture of Rodin’s The Thinker 1I don’t even need to hyperlink this. You already have a very clear image right there in your mind. Don’t you?, but wouldn’t that have struck you as a bit hackneyed? It would me.
And then, of course, I’d have had to get all philosophical about what my “Random Musings” are about, which is really contrary to the point.
So enjoy this luscious-looking Vanilla Cream-Filled Doughnut (sic) from the Brown Eyed Baker. (It’s a beautiful image, isn’t it? I hope she doesn’t DMCA me.) To me, that and a steaming hot cup of strong black coffee are the perfect accompaniments to musing randomly.
